The College of Dental Medication (SDM) has obtained the 2023 Well being Professions Increased Training Excellence in Variety (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Variety journal, the oldest and largest diversity-focused publication in greater training.
As a recipient of the annual award — a nationwide honor recognizing U.S. well being schools and universities that display an impressive dedication to variety and inclusion — UB will likely be featured, together with 61 different recipients, within the November/December 2023 difficulty of INSIGHT Into Variety journal.
This marks the second HEED award the dental faculty has obtained this fall. In September, UB’s Vacation spot Dental College — a program that goals to take away obstacles to careers in dentistry for underrepresented college students — obtained the journal’s 2023 Inspiring Packages in STEM Award.
